Conil
is a busy centre, famous in Andalucia, providing
leisure and entertainment for all ages.
Nightlife in Conil tends to begin almost
in the early hours of the morning. Afternoons
on the beach often stretch out and with
one thing or another it is easy to get to
11 at night without having dined yet.
For dining Conil offers a huge amount of
restaurants, seafood restaurants, pizzerias
and tapas bars all mainly concentrated along
the streets of the old quarter leading to
the Santa Catalina Plaza and of course along
the seafront promenade.
In high summer you must have patience as
the best places are often full and a wait
is necessary.
After completing your dinner with an ice-cream,
it is now times for drinks.
The youngest tend to amass on the beach.
Hundreds of people get together and drink
in one of the biggest beach parties to be
seen. However, the atmosphere is great and
relatively quiet.
Afterwards there tends to be a bar crawl.
There are so many to choose from. The most
well-known one is La Luna (The Moon), a
typical Andalucian courtyard, quite big,
with great atmosphere and very commercial
house music.
When the bars close (around 4 in the morning)
the night can be continued in one of the
discotheques of the village such as Icaro
or head for one of the famous Conil marquees,
next to the Los Bateles beach. They are
very well set up, are very spacious, with
décor a touch exotic and varied music.
If you dare drive at these hours the choice
extends to various discotheques close by
such as el Oceano (the Ocean) and Ohju,
on the way to Caños de Meca.
Definitely a very varied panoply of choices,
apt for all ages and in which good food
and good music are guaranteed.
