Las Calas de Roche are a
complex of five small and very charming
little coves located between the Port of
Conil and the Roche Urbanization. These
coves are known to be a good beach refuge
in the event of strong eastern winds and
also as a destination beach for nudists.
The natural charm and beauty of the area
is undoubted. The coves are born beneath
some small cliffs upon which runs a provincial
coastal road of great beauty.
The coves are of differing sizes with the
most westerly one being the largest, under
the new Conil hotel Confortel Calas.
They are sandy coves with clean and crystalline
water, that do not have life guard service,
showers, waste bins, etc. Parking is easy,
in large areas close the road itself and
access to the coves is reasonably good via
some steps which cross the cliffs. The sand
in the coves is excellent, very fine and
white. Lovers of diving can explore the
many reefs of the area.
Some coves may become very narrow at high
tide or even disappear completely – beware
of this!
Clients of the Confortel hotel enjoy a private
pool area on top of the cliff. The beach
is next to the hotel, following a short
path which ends at the steps leading down
to the cove.
